HST-COB320 is an 8mm PCB COB LED strip with 320 LEDs/m density and 8 W/m power consumption. The chip-on-board construction produces a continuous, dot-free light line without visible hotspots, making it suitable for architectural, cabinet, retail, hospitality and commercial ceiling applications where uniform illumination is required.
Available in 12V and 24V DC with color temperatures from 2700K to 6000K and CRI Ra90+, HST-COB320 covers IP20, IP65, IP67 and IP68 protection levels. IP20, IP65 and IP67 are standard configurations supplied without a minimum order quantity. IP68 is not kept in stock and is produced to order with a lead time of 12-15 days, also with no minimum order quantity. Q1: What is a COB LED strip, and how is it different from SMD strips?
COB (chip-on-board) LED strips mount multiple LED chips directly onto the PCB and cover them with a continuous phosphor layer. This creates a smooth, dot-free light line without the visible diode dots common on standard SMD strips. COB strips are preferred for applications where uniform light and clean appearance are important.
Q2: What is the difference between 12V and 24V versions?
Choose 12V if your installation is short, your power supply is already 12V, or you are using a simple controller. Choose 24V for longer runs, commercial installations or when you want to reduce current and voltage drop. The 12V version cuts every 25 mm; the 24V version cuts every 50 mm.
Q3: What is the cutting unit of HST-COB320?
The cutting unit is 25 mm at 12V and 50 mm at 24V. Always cut only at the marked cutting points to avoid damaging the circuit.
Q4: What is the maximum running length?
The maximum running length depends on the power supply capacity, voltage and wire gauge. At 8 W/m, please tell us your planned installation length and voltage so that we can advise on power supply requirements and whether multiple power injection points are needed.
